Poetry Open Call:
‘Capitalism is a Death Cult’

Our next anthology will be titled ‘Capitalism is a Death Cult.’

Capitalism is not just an economic system—it’s a relentless machine, consuming everything in its path. It glorifies excess, rewards greed, and leaves destruction in its wake. It commodifies human lives, erases ecosystems, and turns art into content. It is a system that demands we betray our humanity for profit. And yet, we live in its shadow, told that this is the only way.

We are looking for poems that pierce the illusion. Poems that rage and mourn. Poems that imagine a world outside this system, where people and the planet are more than resources to be exploited. Whether you write about the personal toll, the global consequences, or the sparks of resistance you see around you—your voice belongs here.

Submission Details:

Deadline: No deadline, as usual. We work on a first-come, first-served basis. If we reach an amount of poems enough to fill the pages, the submission window closes.

No simultaneous submissions, please. Not because we are dicks, but because we don’t have an army of unpaid interns to read your work.

Length: Up to 3 poems per poet in a single document.

Format: Please use our submission format, as Sunday Mornings is a one-woman operation; the format is a life and time saver.

How to Submit:
